Chapter 21 is being helish.
I wrote all of it yesterday. The difficulty? Is that this particular tree is an earth-tree-grown-by-aliens. Said aliens use this trees as a spaceship…of sorts. Yesterday, it was a city full of dreamers snorting lotus root powder and downing fiddle-head beer. But even as I wrote it, I knew it wasn’t right. It was, in fact, the sort of dull that liquefies brains. And when a tree that’s supposed to be an alien space-ship becomes boring, something is obviously wrong. When there are confessions of love and it’s boring, again–something’s wrong. Yeah. Hel.
